Background of the issue:
I’m trying to translate an ACF repeater field that contains a "link" field. If I enable translation for all custom fields and custom term meta for this field, I only see the link text (label) available for translation, but not the link URL. If I enable the system fields for this ACF field, it works for one page (I can then translate the URLs for that page). However, after I save the page, the system fields switch back from "translate" to "copy," so the setting doesn’t stick.

Symptoms:
The system fields for the ACF field switch back from "translate" to "copy" after saving the page, preventing the translation of link URLs.

Questions:
How can I fix the issue where the system fields switch back from "translate" to "copy" after saving the page?
