Background of the issue:
I'm using WPML with FacetWP to filter posts on an archive page for a custom post type (childcare). I’ll provide you some example URLs. The URL in English is: hidden link. In the French version of the site (hidden link), I need the _language parameter to be translated to langue, so the URL would look like: hidden link. I’ve tried using WordPress filters (facetwp_pre_redirect and facetwp_query_args) to modify the URL and query parameter, but it’s not working as expected.
Symptoms:
The URL parameter _language is not being translated to langue in the French version of the site.
Questions:
Can WPML help translate the URL parameter properly when switching languages?
Or is there any other approach?
Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.
First of all, sorry for the late reply; it was due to a higher workload.
1) Please log in to hidden link">this sandbox site and install Facet WP. Then, please create a test facet to replicate the issue.
If the issue is replicable, please let me know to consult our compatibility team.
2) Could you please share your Debug information with me?
You can read a detailed explanation about it here. (http://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support)
The debug info will give me much information about how your site is configured.
Best regards,
Osama
