Hello some of my items have added product fields so you can add personalisation name on the greeting card. In first language you can add text to product fields and the price of the item doesnt change. In the same translated item the price of the item changes when adding text. I tried to translate again the items but no succes in resolving this issue.

First item in translated language (to see the first language change with langugae switcher)

Second item with this issue (price changes from 3,95 to 33,71 €):

Hi there

Let me restate what you are describing to make sure I understand correctly.

You provided links to 2 products.

Both links are to translations of products, not the original language. The problem does not occur on the original language products.

With the original products the price is €3.95.

With this translation there is a supplement of €2.95 : leboxi.eu/hr/proizvodi/cestitka-za-rodendan/

With this translation there is a supplement of €29.76 : leboxi.eu/hr/proizvodi/cestitka-za-rodenje/

The translated products should not have any supplement, the total price should be €3.95, correct?

It's difficult for me to see visiting the front end what is responsible, would it be possible to get access to your site to look at the set up?

Let me mark your next reply as private so that I can get log-in credentials from you—you may want to create a temporary admin user for me to use that you can later delete. And be sure to have a current backup of your site.

Thanks for that. I took a look at your site, but you have a lot of extensions and I can't see what is responsible for adding the sections relating to the extra costs, and I don't see what you are using for the custom WooCommerce product template used for these pages.

Maybe I could get some pointers from you about how you have made these product pages so I can focus on the right thing.

Hello,

for the added imput fields we use plugin Product fields for Woocommerce
Woocommerce -> producst felds

Regarding the template for the product page it is the default product page for Astra theme that we use trough the whole web page.

The site needs to run so please dont disable other things (we are running FB and GOOGLE ads).

Do you need something else from me?

OK, thanks.

That plugin has documentation about how to translate the field groups you create with it to use on other languages: hidden link

But looking at your site, it doesn't look like you have followed those steps.

My screenshot is from edit the field group "Personalizacija – čestitka" which is created in Slovenian, but is not translated to Croatian, as directed in the documentation.

Instead it looks like you have created separate field groups which you are somehow assigning to the Croatian products, like "Personalizacija – čestitka – dječja HR", and editing that one I see that its settings are different than the Slovenian field group I shared above, and the number field is set to adjust pricing by a flat fee of 29.76, so what you are seeing is expected.

I recommend deleting the Croatian field groups that have been created separately and translating the Slovenian originals, according to the plugin documentation.

Hello,

I already have the "Product field group" to translatable. When I go to "Personalizacija – čestitka" and try to translate it allows me to translate only one word not the whole text of product fields. I am attaching screenshot.

Am I doing something wrong?

You shouldn't be using the WPML translation editor.

The documentation describes disabling the WPML translation editor, so when you create a translation of the product field group you edit it within the same back-end editor as the original language product field group.

Hello,

I tried to translate "Personalizacija - čestitka" so I have clicked on "Wordpress editor" in translation part. Than a new window opened and I translated in Croatian language and gave name "Personalizacija - čestitka HR" (first item in product field list). But the translation doesnt show in Croatian language.

I tried to revisit your site but the back end is unusable, the style information is not loading (the browser console shows 503 errors for the request).

I'll try again later, hopefully it is just a temporary server issue.

I checked the translation of the product field group you made to Croatian, and when I visit the products you shared at the top of this thread, I see that they are now working correctly, in terms of the pricing problem we initially discussed.

But there is something that is still wrong.

In the screenshot from the front end you can see that the texts are showing the translations, but note that instead of 3,95 € it is showing 29,76 kn.

I was thinking something was possibly intervening to convert the € price to kn, and to double-check I simply replaced the euro price with text (second screenshot, of the back end).

But that updated text isn't shown on the front end. It still shows the price in kn, which leads me to suspect that this field group isn't the one that is actually being displayed for this product on the front end.

So, checking the source markup on the front end, I can see that the product field group which is actually being shown has ID = 8414, and returning to the list of product field groups in the back end, I can see that the product field group with this ID is "Personalizacija – čestitka – dječja HR", not "Personalizacija - čestitka HR".

And that field group does have the price as 29,76 kn.

(I have re-edited the Personalizacija - čestitka HR group to return the text to use the price 3,95 €.)
