Background of the issue:
I am using the WPML plugin on my site hidden link. I just published a new page and translated it.
Symptoms:
The new page shows a 404 error. Updates to the home page are not reflected in the Arabic version. The footer 'join our team' is not translated in Arabic despite being translated.
Questions:
Why does the new translated page show a 404 error?
Why are updates to the home page not appearing in the Arabic version?
Why is the footer 'join our team' not translated in Arabic?
Welcome to WPML support. I checked the footer in Arabic and I see that the Join Our Team menu shows. (Please check the screenshot)
If the changes do not show in the Advanced Translation editor, please do as follows:
- Go to your Dashboard > Pages.
- Open the edit screen of the original page. You should see a pencil/circle/gear icon in the sidebar options under the "Languages" section.
- Make a small change, for example, add an extra blank space at the end of a sentence/paragraph.
- Save it.
- You should now see that a circular arrow appears beside the 2nd languages links, this means that an update is required.
- Edit the translation again and save it up to 100% translated.
Also I will need the link to the new page that you created which is not translated and show the 404 page.
