WPML prices will increase with the release of WPML 4.5 later this summer. Existing clients with valid subscriptions will enjoy all the new features and keep their original pricing.

WPML 4.5 marks a huge change to how you build and run multilingual WordPress sites. It will offer a new mode to automatically translate all of your site’s content. In this mode, simply write content in your own language, and translations will be instantly generated when you publish or update content. When you’re ready, you can review the translations on your site’s front-end and publish them.

Together with this release, we are also updating WPML’s pricing for the first time in 12 years.

The new pricing will be:

Multilingual BlogMultilingual CMSMultilingual Agency
First year$39$99$199
Renewals$29$74$149

Everyone who has valid WPML accounts or buys WPML before version 4.5 is out can keep the old pricing. This means that as long as you continue to renew on time, you can keep renewing at your current rate indefinitely.

For example, if you purchase a Multilingual CMS account today, you can continue to renew each year for $59 (instead of the upcoming increased renewal pricing of $74).

How to keep your current pricing

Whether you’re a current client, have an expired account, or you’re still just thinking about purchasing WPML, you can still save by acting before WPML 4.5 is released later this summer. If your account expires after this, you will need to buy a new account at the new price.

Current clients

As a current client with an active account, you can renew your account every year for 25% off the price you originally paid. As long as your account doesn’t expire, you can keep renewing for this price, even after the prices increase.

Signing up for automatic renewals ensures you won’t accidentally miss your renewal and lose your discount. If your credit card expires, we’ll notify you and allow time for you to update your payment method.

Setting up automatic renewals

To see if you have automatic renewals set up, log into your WPML account. If you don’t see a message like the one above prompting you to set up automatic renewals, you’re already set up! If you do see the above message, click it and follow the instructions to set up automatic renewals and ensure you keep your discount.

Clients with expired accounts

Maintain the sites you previously built by reactivating your expired account.

Before the WPML 4.5 release, you can restart your old account and continue to receive discounted renewals at 25% off the price you originally paid.

If you wait until after prices increase, you will lose your discount and need to purchase WPML at full price.

Prospective clients

There has never been a better time to buy WPML than before prices increase later this summer.

By purchasing before the WPML 4.5 release, you get all the current and upcoming features for the same price as 12 years ago. Plus, renewals are discounted 25% off the price you paid originally, even after the price increases.

WPML offers a feature-packed product, excellent support, and a 30-day money back guarantee. Buy it today at its lowest price!

31 Responses to “Upcoming WPML price increase – how to save by signing up for automatic renewals”

    • Hi there – the price increase starts when we release the 4.5 production release later this summer. We don’t have a more specific date for that yet because we still have some more testing to complete before then. If you want to help test the 4.5 beta, you can learn more about it and see how to install.

    • Hi Tamar – If you don’t see a message to set up automatic renewals when you log into your account, it means you already have automatic renewals in place. You should be good to go!

    • Hi Thomas – if you log into your account and don’t see a message to set up automatic renewals, it’s because you’re already set up. The blog post contains a couple of screenshots to show that message looks like.

  1. Hi Allison,
currently i have the multilingual CMS with auto renewal.
I wanted to switch to the larger package at the end of the year. Is that only possible with the higher price?
    Thank you

    • Hi Thomas – Good question! If you have an active account with automatic renewals set up, you can upgrade anytime at the lower price, even after the prices increase.

  2. Hello Allison,

    3 questions:

Am I right, the credits for automatic translation will only be available for new customers?

I would like to transfer the yearly renewal to my client before 7. September. What price he has to pay? The higher when 4.5 is out and the current when 4.5 is not out yet?

    What will change for NGOs?

    Thank you
    Stefan

    • Hi Stefan – New clients who purchase a WPML account at the higher price will receive some free automatic translation credits with their purchase. Both new and existing clients can get 2,000 credits for free each month by signing up for an automatic translation account, and both new and existing clients can purchase additional credits through the current pay-as-you-go option or by purchasing packages of credits once WPML 4.5 is released.

Prices are not changing for end users. If you transfer a site to your client, their price is $39 per year and you receive a $20 credit towards your next renewal.

There is no special NGO pricing.

  3. Oh my God! I live in Argentina! thats a lot for me! If i don´t pay for renewal this year can I still use the plugyn anyway?

    • Hi Silvia – Thanks for your comment. If you don’t pay your renewal, you can continue to use WPML, however you won’t be able to update the plugin anymore or access support. If your account expires and you decide you want to update WPML, you will have to buy a new account at the new price.

If your account is currently active and you’re signed up for automatic renewals, you don’t have to worry about the new pricing – you’ll continue to pay your current renewal price instead.

    • Hi Thibault – We are still working on testing the 4.5 beta, so we don’t have a planned release date right now.

  4. Hi, I have a question:

My current WPML Multilingual Agency subscription ends on September 7, 2021.

If I don’t renew my subscription, do I have to pay the increased price if the 4.5 is released after September 7, 2021?

    • Hello – Yes, that is correct. If you renew on time, you can keep your current price. If your account expires, you will need to purchase a new account at the higher price in order to access support and updates.
