Background of the issue:
I am trying to complete the translation of a page using WPML's ATE.

Video overview here: hidden link

Symptoms:
The translation is stuck at 96% and is not being saved to the database. The strings are not retaining their completed status.

Questions:
Why is the translation stuck at 96%?
Why is the translation not being saved to the database?
Why are the strings not retaining their completed status?

Hello there!

Since you're using the classic translation editor, then you're bound to your server's configuration as a restriction and in here you probably have a lower MaxInputVars value than you need.

Please try to increase it (try something above 5000 or 10000 but keep increasing it if you still see that it doesn't reach 100%). You can ask your hosting to do that for you.

In my experience a value above 15.000 usually covers even the longest of pages so that should be a safe value to try initially.
