The client is trying to register WPML on their site but encounters a connection error stating 'Unable to get data from service. Detailed error: cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 45001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received.'

Solution:

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.

We hope you are configuring WPML on this site for the first time. According to the error message, something is blocking contacting our servers. Since this could have been a temporary problem also.

Therefore please try the workaround suggested in the following ticket after site backup and make sure the bug exists or not.
