Background of the issue:
I am using the Shoptimizer theme and following the documentation to translate products with color variations. I duplicate them as prescribed. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link. I expected the product to appear only twice as on the main product page: hidden link. Please select a color to see the issue.
Symptoms:
After translating and duplicating products with color variations, if I change the translation, the featured image for the variation is added and cannot be removed, causing the product to show up twice. The featured image is added, resulting in one extra image on the color variation.
Questions:
Why is the featured image added to the color variation after changing the translation?
How can I remove the extra featured image from the color variation?
