Background of the issue:
I am trying to upload images for the English translation on my website, but they won't appear on the frontend. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link.

Symptoms:
The images for the English translation are not appearing on the frontend.

Questions:
Why are the images not appearing on the frontend for the English translation?
How can I ensure that images are correctly uploaded and displayed for translations?

Hi,

it looks like the images are being handled through Elementor, which means the replacement via Media Translation won’t work in this case. You’ll need to add an XML configuration for your theme as described here: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multilingual-tools/registering-custom-elementor-widgets-for-translation/ (Your Theme seems to add custom Elementor widgets).

After adding the configuration, you can set the image to be copied or replaced (ID, URL, etc.) via the WPML Translation Editor.

Best regards,
Marcel

Hi,

so I tried to follow the instructions from your link using the XML Congfigurator, but still it won't display the correct media translation, although it says under the:
WPML: Elementor Widgets

XML generated for widgets from this page that does not have translation settings:
All widgets on this page are already registered.

so it did not generate me an XML Code but still media on that page was not translated by the wpml media translation.

best regards,
Francesco

Hi Franceso,

thanks for info. I would eventually also need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed

Your next answer will be private which means only you and I have access to it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I would additionally need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme, and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is really important.

✙ Please add the Links to the […] Edit Screen, the Page/Post where you insert the […] and the corresponding Front End Page/Screen

Best Regards,
Marcel
