Unregistered/unrecognized users are updating our posts, resulting in unauthorized modifications to our content. To track these changes, we've installed an activity log plugin, and the alterations are originating from the IP address 44.197.116.165. This is not coming from our end. Additionally, there is code like {"translatedWithWPMLTM"} being added. Is this from an automatic translation service or tool? We have disabled all these settings, yet posts are still occasionally altered without our knowledge. Can someone investigate this matter?
The IP address you are sharing is an AWS server location, and based on the rest information, yes that looks like part of the automatic translation service.
Please go to WPML->Settings and let me know your settings for the translation mode as well as if the Advanced Translation Editor is chosen.
When you say that randomly posts are updated, do you notice that they are altered or simply updated?

- Translation mode is set to 'Translate what you choose'
- W.r.t. translation editor, 'Advanced Translation Editor' is selected for new translations. For previously created translation with the Classic Translation Editor we've chosen the Classic Translation Editor.

They are altered, so sometimes content is also updated.
Would it be possible to share with me an example of this behavior? Maybe a link to a page and what content was changed.
WPML it self should not be altering a page's content unless you are using automatic translation or a duplicate page and the default content was changed thus updating the translation content automatically .
I've uploaded a screenshot where you can see another example. Here you can see pages were automatically translated, even though this setting is disabled. The site editors/admins monitor these changes and revert changes whenever it happens so i can't give you a URL to a page where you can see this. But it happens every once in 1-2 weeks.
We're sure the automatic translation service is disabled, to my knowledge it has never been activated in the first place..
The difficult case with issues that happen 'randomly' is that we are not able to reproduce in order to properly debug.
The tag that you see in the revision screen is added by our system whenever a block is translated by WPML (not necessarily automatic translation), this has been introduced since WPML ver 4.3.5
This could be happening due to an update to the default language or a bulk edit of the pages/posts when an editor is working on the site.
As a temporary solution, you can add the following line to your theme's functions.php file
