Background of the issue:
I am trying to set different images for each language using Media Translation in WPML. However, some images have not changed and are still showing the default language image (English). You can see the issue on this page: hidden link

Symptoms:
The translated media image is not showing; it's displaying the original image instead.

Questions:
Why are some images not changing to the translated version?
How can I ensure that all images are correctly translated and displayed?

Hello,

I am trying to login back but seems after deactivate / activate some plugins I can not access wp-admin.

Anyway I checked further and it works fine now, if you upload new image in default language page, re-translate the page and then run media translation / replace.

I assume something happened during first time, maybe object cache.

Can you please also try this and see if it works fine for you.

Example you can see image translated here fine:

We followed and tried the steps you suggested, but we're still facing the same issues on our live site. Please try the same method on the live site yourself. Create a post and use an image from the media library—do not use any external images. You can choose any image from this site

Hello,

thanks, but that is not what I have suggested.

Please try to upload new image in default language (not to use existing from media library), save and re-translate page, then use Media translation and upload new translated image.

Let me know if that helps.

Drazen

Hello,

I do not understand your reply, do you mean it works fine and image issue is fixed or? Please explain, if you have another issue we will open new ticket for that.

I do not see anything on shared URL it returns 404, nor do I have access to your website.

Let me know.

Drazen

hidden link – I tried what you suggested. I created a new post and added a new image (not from the existing media library), and it worked.

My question is: how can we translate my existing images? How can this issue be resolved?

Hello,

okay, thanks. I suggest same way for other images also.

If this fix / workaround is not satisfactory for you, and it will take much time if you have many posts, then I can escalate to our 2nd tier and ask for a 2nd opinion or better workaround.

I would need a Duplicator copy of your website, since I do not have access anymore I can not take it myself. Please follow steps and provide us a copy of website.
