Hi,

I am using ACFML and want to disable translations of field choices, not globally but for one ACF field group.

How can I do that?

Thanks, Jan

EDIT

The Field Group is already set to "Same fields across languages", but it does not seem to work. :-/

Hello Jan,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

If you prefer to exclude the field choices from appearing in the Translation Editor, you can set the translation preference of that particular choice field to 'Not Translatable', right after switching the Translation Mode of the field group to 'Expert'. Please try the following steps and I hope it will help.

- Go to "ACF → Field Group" and open the Field group that contains the "Choice" field
- On Top, you'll see an option to change the Translation mode. Click on the "Change Option" link
- Select the "Expert" mode
- Once it is selected, scroll down and click on the Choice field that you don't want to appear in the translation editor.
- Set the translation Preference for that field to "Not Translatable" and save the changes.

The fields will no longer appear in the translation editor. You can also check the documentation on Expert mode and setting up Translation preference for each field below.

Please let me know if that helps or if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi Prosenjit,

thanks for your reply!

Sadly your solution does not work.

I changed the settings, made a change to the page with the fields and clicked on "edit the english translation".

WPML still wants me to translate all options.

Do you have another idea how to change that?

Thanks, Jan

Hello Jan,
Thank you for the update.

As the issue persists, I would like to take a closer look to understand the root cause of the issue.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. Along with the access info, please share the name/link to the page where I can see the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated.

You will find the needed fields below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.

IMPORTANT
-Please backup site files and database before providing us access.
-If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

Looking forward to your response.

Best Regards,
Prosenjit
