The Cookie banner - how to translate this? Completely unrelated to Directorist, but not a good look that it only displays in English. Hope you can help.

Hello,

About the cookie banner. the content comes from another place, not from your site, but from what seems to be a separate platform. does that platform allow you to set a language to the cookie banner on their end?

Right now I don't really know if you could translate its content because it's coming from a different platform.

In case you'd like to change plugins, you could give these a try: https://wpml.org/plugin-functionality/cookies/

We tested them and they should be fully compatible with us.

Regards

Thank you Alejandro. I chose this plugin specifically because it claimed to be WPML compatible but now it's set up, I see no way to translate it.

The plugin’s WordPress.org listing explicitly includes “WPML and Polylang compatible” in its features.

Also, there’s a recent WordPress.org support thread from WPML’s Compatibility Team mentioning they had already worked to ensure compatibility and want to formalize it via WPML’s Go-Global program.

It's frustrating to have to start again with another one (this will be my fourth and they are time consuming to set up!)

Well that could be good news, but have you tried seeing if that plugin has anything on their end that allows to "look" for languages? or maybe allow you to select different languages?

if you tell me how and where do you create the text for the banner, I may be able to take it from there.

Ok, I'm embarrassed to say I found where Spanish lives and I've sorted the issue! This ticket can be closed. But the biggest issue right now, is the single listing page.
