Hello,

I checked and seems you are adding other custom code to HTML block, which can then break translation file. Like CSS code you have added

You should add only HTML code there and any other outside, for example in theme options, functions.php etc.

Please remove that extra code, save the page and try to re-translate. It should work fine then.

Drazen

Hi,

Thanks for checking, but I am not a developer. Also, I assume the extra code was added for a reason (styling?)

So this means I can only translate tables if they are very ugly and without styling?

If not possible to translate while keeping styling:
1)Can you please just restore the table in the style it was
2)Can you please tell me how I can remove this table from the other language pages?

And one more question:
3)I consider to delete WPML completely because there are too many bugs and 'workarounds'. If i want to temporarily disable, what is the best seo-friendly approach? Should i just disable the plugin and move all the translated pages to concept? will this also remove all the wpml menu language switchers and remove the pages from the sitemap?

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for your message I understand your concerns, and I’ll try to clarify.

1) This does not mean that tables can only be translated without styling. The issue is related to where the styling code is placed. When styling (CSS) is added directly inside the content, the WPML Translation Editor may not handle it properly.

The recommended approach is to move that styling into the appropriate place, such as the Custom CSS section in your theme options or a stylesheet. This way, you can keep the design while still being able to translate the content correctly.

Related guide: hidden link

If you prefer to keep the styling inside the content as it is, another option is to disable the WPML Translation Editor for that page and manually edit the translated version. This gives you full control, but requires manual maintenance of the translations.

2) Regarding your questions:

- If needed, the table styling can be restored but ideally by moving the styles to the correct location as mentioned above.
- To remove the table from secondary language pages, you can edit the translation manually and simply remove that content from the translated version. You will need to switch to manual approach:

3) If you decide to remove WPML, the best and safest approach is to follow this guide:

This explains how to properly remove translations and avoid leftover data. Disabling the plugin alone will remove language switchers from the frontend, but translated content may still exist, so a proper cleanup is recommended for SEO and consistency.

Kind regards,
Dražen

I chose to just delete your entire software. It does not work well and is full of bugs and workarounds. Not sure how you ever got to be the most popular translation plugin, quality is absolutely terrible. Total waste of money.

now i am trying to delete the language pages as shown in the guide you send (step 1) and first try it lands on an error, second time it is running for 5 minutes to delete one language and it still didnt stop.

I want you to complete remove all this nonsense from my website. Do you know how much we have spent on this plugin? I am not talking about credits but about developer hours? And now I want to delete it and it does not work.

You can login to my website and you need to complete delete every single part of this plugin, translations, and any parts of codes left in the DB. Should you leave us here with a broken website where we can not uninstall the plugin or pages I will escalate this to our legal department and compensation will be demanded.

Do not respond with another generic answer or some links to guides. Delete this junk from our website and database and let us know when it's clean.

Hi are you sure everything is removed? Semrush is still finding /en/ things with 404

Hello,

Yes, everything is removed and WPML plugins are no longer installed, so those /en/ links do not exist anymore on the site.

What you’re seeing in Semrush is expected. If those URLs were previously indexed, it can take some time for search engines to deindex them.

In the meantime, I would recommend:

- checking your sitemap to ensure those /en/ URLs are no longer included
- resubmitting the updated sitemap in Google Search Console
- optionally requesting removal of those URLs in Search Console for faster cleanup

Best regards,
Dražen
