This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client needed help with translating URLs with filtered values for Jet Smart Filters on a website originally in Czech. The issue was that links on the translated English homepage redirected to the Czech version, and the 'Translate link targets' function did not work. There was also no field for URL translation in the advanced translator.
Solution:
We advised the client to manually adjust the URL in the default language using Elementor and then manually translate or adjust the content in the second language. We recommended following the guide on making Jet Smart Filters multilingual using WPML, which can be found here: https://crocoblock.com/knowledge-base/jetsmartfilters/jetsmartfilters-how-to-make-filters-multilingual-using-wpml/. Additionally, to prevent overwriting changes when re-translating the page, we suggested switching off the WPML editor for that page and using the WordPress editor instead.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I need help with translating URLs with filtered values for Jet Smart Filters on my website, which is originally in Czech. I am trying to edit the link on the translated English homepage that refers to the listing grid from Crocoblock's jet engine. The URLs with filtered values are set via Jet Smart Filters.

Symptoms:
When I am on the translated English version of the website: hidden link, the links keep redirecting me to the Czech version of the website. The 'Translate link targets' function doesn't work, and there is no field for URL translation in the advanced translator.

Questions:
How can I ensure that the URL links are translated?

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us.

1) Can you please explain to me where did you add this URL in default language?

2) Did you follow the guide on how to translate it? Also, as it says, some things might need manual intervention on the 2nd language content and adjusting the content manually.

- hidden link

Let me know, please.

Regards,
Drazen

Hello Dražen,

Thank you for reply.

1) I added the URL via Elementor via the dynamic tag in Jet Smart Filters "URL with filtered value" - you can check screenshot.

2) Sorry, I must have overlooked their recommendation. I thought that it was generally not possible to do this at all. Now I tried it and it really works.

To be sure, I'll ask, is it meant that I open the editing of the English version of the page in Elementor, go through the warning message that the changes will be lost when I send the page for editing (Does this mean when I send the Czech version of the page for automatic translation?)

After I did it according to your recommendation directly in the Elementor editing, it works, it was also related to another problem where I couldn't translate the content in the Crocoblock widget "Auth Links" via WPML - also a known problem that was addressed here on the forum, but there is no answer to it.

So I probably have to be careful not to accidentally send the Czech version of the page for translation. Won't the page be sent there automatically after I make an edit in the Czech version? Do you have any recommendations on how to prevent this?

Regards,
Tomas

Hello Tomas,

Great, glad to hear that it helped.

Yes, that is correct, changes will be overwritten once you re-translate the page via WPML Advanced translation editor / automatic translation.

What you can do is if the page is translated, continue to translate/adjust this page manually and switch off WPML editor for that page from the default language screen, change it to WordPress editor. Image attached.

Do that only for the page where you do manual adjustments, so you do not lose it. Since mixing translation methods might cause changes to be lost.

Drazen
