Background of the issue:
I am trying to update variable products in Italian on my WordPress site using WPML. However, after making updates such as changing the price or updating an image, the variations in Italian break. This issue sometimes occurs immediately or after 5 to 10 minutes. The language of the variation may disappear, or the format/attribute value may be removed. In some cases, the Italian language attribute is completely removed from the product's attribute list, requiring manual re-addition to recreate the variation. I have already tried all available troubleshooting tools in WPML and WCML settings, disabled caching layers, downgraded plugins, and performed a clean installation of WPML, but the issue persists. Here are some screenshots of the problem: hidden link, hidden link, hidden link, hidden link, hidden link, hidden link. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link.

Questions:
Could you please assist us in identifying the root cause and resolving this problem?
Thank you for contacting WPML support. I'd be happy to assist you on this issue.
Isn't Italian the default language of the site, if yes, can you disable WPML and see if the problem appears even without WPML?
Further, We've recently rolled out a new version of WPML plugins. Could you please update your plugins to the latest version and inform me if it resolves the issue?
Our WPML updates are distributed gradually. If your websites haven't received this update yet, please be patient, and you should see it within a few days.
Yes, the default language of the site is Italian.
We have already tested disabling WPML, and the issue does not occur without WPML active — it only happens when WPML is enabled.
Regarding the plugin versions: at the time the issue first appeared, we had already tried downgrading the WPML-related plugins to earlier versions. After that, we updated them again to the latest available release, and the problem continued to appear even after re-updating.
Let me know if you need access to the backend or further tests from our side.
To debug this issue further, I would need to check your site settings once, for this I would need temporary access (wp-admin and ftp) to your site.
So could you please provide me with those details, you will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. hidden link
