[Resolved] Split: help translate the filter

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client needed help translating custom fields such as 'Experience', 'Fresh', and 'Year' from the WP Job Board plugin, which were not registered in a way that WPML could translate them due to compatibility issues.
Solution:
We recommended creating the same custom fields again for the secondary language and using the manual translation method to manually assign the translated fields to the translated jobs, while keeping the original fields assigned to the default language jobs. Additionally, we suggested configuring WP Job Board so that empty field values are not displayed to avoid showing duplicate fields. We also advised contacting the plugin author for potentially better multilingual support and checking the list of officially compatible plugins at https://wpml.org/plugin/.

I checked the page you shared and it appears that those strings (such as “Experience”, “Fresh”, “Year”, etc.) are coming from custom fields created in the Fields Manager of the WP Job Board plugin.

I tried several approaches to make them translatable through WPML, but it seems that these fields are not registered in a way that WPML can translate them. I also could not find WP Job Board listed among the plugins that are officially compatible with WPML, so compatibility limitations may occur in cases like this.

Because of that, the translation options are unfortunately limited.

As a possible workaround, you could try the following approach:

- Create the same custom fields again for the secondary language.

- Use the manual translation method and manually assign the translated fields to the translated jobs.

Keep the original fields assigned to the default language jobs.

If possible, configure WP Job Board so that empty field values are not displayed, which helps avoid showing duplicate fields.

I understand this is not an ideal solution and is more of a workaround, but at the moment I was not able to find a better method.

You may also want to contact the plugin author of WP Job Board, as they are more familiar with how their fields are implemented and may be able to suggest a better way to make them multilingual.
