Background of the issue:
I am developing a site and using WPML to translate content. I have a menu where each item has a description, but these descriptions do not translate via WPML.

Symptoms:
The menu descriptions are not translating with WPML.

Questions:
Is there a way to translate menu descriptions myself without creating a separate menu for each language?

While one of my teammates handles your ticket, I will provide the initial debugging steps.

Could you please share examples of your menu and what you need to translate?

Please review how to translate WordPress menus with WPML:

I fully understand the process of creating a menu instance for another language and I wanted to avoid that. When I have a menu in one language, when WPML translates the entire page, the Menu is translated and only the descriptions are not translated.

The attachment shows where the description is entered, which, unlike the title, is not automatically translated and I do not see any option to translate it (except of course the method from the guide you sent, where a separate menu instance is created)

(Opis means Description)

Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. I checked and unfortunately, there is no option to translate the menu description automatically or via the Advanced Translation editor.

The only way is the manual way my colleague mentioned in the previous reply.

If you are interested I can add this as a feature request in our internal issue tracker.

By the way I tested this on a clean installation:

Thanks.

Yeah, that would be nice feature in the future.
