This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client inquired about integrating their own AI translation tool or a non-partner translation service like n8n with the WPML Translation Hub to handle translation jobs automatically.
Solution:
We explained that it's currently not possible to integrate non-partner translation services directly with WPML. If the client is interested in integrating a custom translation service, they need to apply through the WPML Translation Partners Program. Once approved and the integration is complete, the service will be available in the WPML interface among other authorized translation services. As alternatives, we offer the Translation Hub for managing translation jobs and an Automatic Translation feature with flexible pricing.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hello,

We have a question regarding the use of WPML Translation Hub.

Our client needs its own AI translation tool implementation, first we thought that using the Translation Hub Service was a good approach to use in the website WPML plugin to translate it automatically, but we need a service like n8n to communicatie with an do the translation for us. Can we connect somehow with n8n via the hub service? So when a translation job is added it should go directly to n8n for translation.
Or can we better develop our own plugin to directly transfer translation jobs to our n8n service to handle te translation?
It would be nice to hear the best and possible approaches for us.

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Ceryl Claassens

Thank you for contacting WPML support.

At the moment, it’s not possible to integrate your own AI translation tool or a non-partner translation service directly with WPML. Currently, there are no plans to support this outside of the official Translation Partners program.

If you are interested in integrating a custom translation service, you would need to apply through the WPML Translation Partners Program. You can find more details here: https://wpml.org/documentation/content-translation/

Once the integration process is completed and the service becomes an authorized partner, it will appear directly in the WPML interface among the available translation services.

As alternatives, WPML currently offers the following options (as you know aware already):
• Translation Hub – A centralized interface for managing translators and translation jobs.
• Automatic Translation – Built-in machine translation with flexible pay-as-you-go pricing.
