[Resolved] Translation of a product attribute does not apply
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is trying to translate the product attribute label 'Choisir votre modèle de Ski-Mojo :' for a product, but despite translating the attribute and clearing caches, the label remains in French for all languages except German. Solution: 1. We suggested renaming the file
to resolve the issue with the German translation not displaying correctly. 2. After renaming, the translation should work as expected, as confirmed on a staging site.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we recommend opening a new support ticket. Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate the product attribute label 'Choisir votre modèle de Ski-Mojo :' for the product at hidden link. I have modified the label and translated it using WooCommerce Multilingual and Multicurrency, synchronized attributes, and checked WPML string translation.
Symptoms:
Despite translating the attribute and clearing caches, the label 'Choisir votre modèle de Ski-Mojo :' remains in French for all languages (ENG/DE/IT/ES).
Questions:
Why is the product attribute label not displaying the translated text in other languages?
What steps can I take to ensure the translation is applied correctly?
- Please backup the site files and database before providing us access.
- If you have a staging site where the problem can be reproduced, it is better to share access to the staging site.
There seems to be an issue with the loading of the translation files. Please try next to rename the "wp-content/languages/wpml/wordpress-de_DE.l10n.php" file and then re-check.
did you delete the file I mentioned for DE, I tested for DE and it worked fine.
You can see it here. hidden link
It works since these are files from WC and there are some issues with latest WP and loading of translation, including translation added via WPML String translation.
