Background of the issue:
I have created an online store and translated it to German using WPML's automatic translation feature. Some products have variations in the translated version on the frontend, and some don't. For example, the product at hidden link works normally, while the product at hidden link doesn't show the variation dropdown in German but does in English. When editing the product in WooCommerce, attributes and variations are visible in the English version but not in the German version, where it says they are locked for automatic translation. Screenshots: hidden link and hidden link.

Symptoms:
The WooCommerce variation dropdown is not showing on the translated product in German. The attributes and variations are visible in the English version but not in the German version, where they are locked for automatic translation.

Questions:
Why is the WooCommerce variation dropdown not showing on the translated product in German?
How can I resolve the issue of attributes and variations being locked for automatic translation in the German version?

Thank you for contacting WPML support. While you're waiting for one of my colleagues to take this ticket, let me provide some initial troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Based on the screenshot you shared, it appears that the product variations were not successfully copied over to the translated version of the product.

To fix this, please follow these steps:

-Edit the product in the primary language.

-Make a minor change to the product title (e.g. add a space or word), then click Update to save.

-This action will resync the Advanced Translation Editor.

-After that, retranslate the product into the other languages.

Once done, check if the product variations are now appearing on the translated versions.
