Background of the issue:
I am working on a site under development and trying to use WPML with WP All Import. I previously made a support ticket, but it was closed without resolving my issue. I am unsure if the issue is still open on the WPML side.

Symptoms:
The problem with automatic running of WPML export and import is not solved.

Questions:
Is the issue with automatic WPML export and import still open on the WPML side?
How can I automate import process without pressing a import button?

Hello,

Your earlier tickets can be found here:
https://wpml.org/forums/users/janis-anspaks/

I can not see any ticket that relates to WP All Import.

There is sadly no way to automate the import with WPML.

You will use WP All Import for this step.

Our addon "WPML Export & Import" will only make sure that your exported files include the necessary information for WPML and make sure that the content is merged correctly in each language when running the import.

How to import with WPML Export & Import:

Best regards
Andreas

This was my previous post which got closed: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/automatic-run-wpml-export-and-import/

Question was about WPML Import /export. When I import data i must run WPML import manually, and as I understand correctly i can not automate it? With some cronjob or webhook or event php function call?

Hi Jānis,

Thanks for clarifying. You're correct—WPML Export & Import does not currently support automation via cron jobs, webhooks, or custom PHP calls. The import step must be triggered manually.

For automation, you'd need to configure WP All Import itself. WPML's add-on ensures multilingual data is correctly structured and mapped, but it doesn’t run the import process independently.

Best regards,
Andreas

Is there any plan to implement such upgrades in the plugin?
At the moment, the process is quite manual — my WP All Import setup imports data nightly, and afterward I have to manually go into the WP Import/Export plugin to perform the final import.
Is there truly no way to automate this step?
