Problem:
The client is facing an issue where social icons in the header of their multilingual site sync back to the default language when changes are made and re-translated automatically using WPML with the Gem theme and Elementor.
Solution:
We recommend manually translating the Elementor header template for each language to prevent automatic syncing of social icons. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Edit the original Elementor header in the WordPress editor.
2. In the right sidebar, under the "Language" section, deactivate our translation editor by selecting the WordPress editor instead.
3. You can now freely edit the translated template in the WordPress editor or Elementor editor.
4. Open the translation and make your changes. Since our editor is deactivated, it won't sync the translation anymore with the original.
