This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with the integration between WPML and Crowdin on a WordPress site supporting 20+ languages. The integration picks up unnecessary strings, and syncing between the two systems is unreliable, making it difficult to understand why updates are not reflected.
Solution:
We cannot provide a custom integration between WPML's automatic translation and Crowdin Translation Service as the translation memory systems of the two are incompatible. However, if you're facing issues with the current integration with Crowdin and need further investigation into what is not working, we are ready to assist you. Additionally, if you are considering moving to WPML's automatic translation option, please provide more details on what you aim to achieve and share your site's Debug information with us. You can find instructions on how to provide this information here.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket here.

Background of the issue:
We have an integration with WPML + Crowdin and to say nicely, it's a pain to have that workflow integrated into our WordPress site once you have 20+ languages. It picks up unnecessary string and the syncing is awful between 2 systems in a sense that sometimes it's really hard to understand why something is not updating, although everything seems to be good.
Definitely not something meant to be usable for an average blog creator.

We are looking for alternative options for CrowdIn integration and an idea came to mind, since WPML already have the built-in translations system.

Symptoms:
The integration picks up unnecessary strings and syncing between WPML and Crowdin is unreliable, making it hard to understand why updates are not reflected.

Questions:
Is it possible to create a custom translation engine integration with CrowdIn ? Since CrowdIn has already some translation memory available, it would do well if it's possible to pull/send some information from Translation Page directly to CrowdIn.

Hi,

I'm sorry, but custom integration with WPML's automatic translation and CrowdIn Translation Service is not possible. The two systems' translation memory works differently, so integration is impossible.

However, if you want us to investigate what is not working regarding the integration with CrowdIn, we'd be happy to do so.

Regards,
Itamar.
