Hi,

I have found a dubble translation in the Product Category.

In English, it is good.
Something went wrong in the translation to Dutch.

You then see 2x BMW in the product category

1x with the correct subcategories

and 1x with only 3 subcategories.

How can I manually remove this last category from the translation?

You can check it by going to staging.hposkam.nl in the main screen you can Select Brand

Do you see the entry also double on WooCommerce Multilingual on the "Categories" tab as described here: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/#taxonomies?

Thank you for verifying that the Category doesn't duplicate in the backend. However, when I examined the dropdown menu in the secondary language, I noticed that both the Default and the translated categories are being loaded within the Dropdown. This is why the Category seems to appear twice in the dropdown in other languages.

Normally, categories for each language should appear in the Category list. To confirm their presence, you can use the default product category shortcode and display it on any page, as outlined here: hidden link.

However, it appears that the "Product Category Dropdowns" plugin you're using for the category dropdown feature isn't functioning as expected in this context. It's important to note that this plugin isn't included in our list of compatible plugins. You can also check by going to this link: https://wpml.org/plugin/

Consequently, it's likely that the plugin hasn't been fully equipped with WPML translation support. Essentially, the plugin should utilize the "wpml_object_id" hook to ensure that the correct category is displayed for each language.

It would be advisable to contact the support team of the "Product Category Dropdowns" plugin and ask them to investigate why the default category appears in the dropdown when the page is accessed in a secondary language. I hope they can help you better in this case.
