Problem:
Sie versuchen, ein Popup mit dem automatischen Übersetzungsmodus zu übersetzen, aber nach Änderungen im englischen Text wird der deutsche Text nicht automatisch aktualisiert. Zudem werden Sie beim Versuch, die deutsche Übersetzung zu überprüfen, zum Beitragsbildschirm weitergeleitet.
Lösung:
Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Übersetzungsmodus in WPML > Einstellungen auf "Alles automatisch übersetzen" gesetzt ist. Überprüfen Sie auch unter "WPML > Einstellungen > Beitragstypen-Übersetzung", ob der Button "Automatisch übersetzen" für den Beitragstyp 'elementor_library' aktiviert ist, wie in diesem Screenshot gezeigt.
Wenn das Problem weiterhin besteht, wechseln Sie den Übersetzungsmodus zu "Übersetzen, was Sie wählen" und aktivieren Sie dann "Alles automatisch übersetzen" erneut, um den automatischen Übersetzungsprozess neu zu starten. Folgen Sie zusätzlich diesen Schritten:

  • Gehe zu WPML > Support > Fehlerbehebung
  • Klicken Sie auf die folgenden Buttons:
  • Cache in WPML löschen
  • Geister-Einträge aus den Übersetzungstabellen entfernen
  • Lokale Job-IDs mit ATE-Jobs synchronisieren
  • Übersetzer und Übersetzungsmanager mit ATE synchronisieren
  • Übersetzungsstatus für duplizierten Inhalt zuweisen
  • Sprachinformationen festlegen
  • Beitragstypzuweisung für Übersetzungen korrigieren
  • Löschen Sie anschließend die Caches Ihrer Website und Ihres Browsers.
  • Nehmen Sie eine kleine Änderung an der Standard-Popup-Vorlage vor und speichern Sie diese. Überprüfen Sie dann, ob die automatische Übersetzung den Inhalt korrekt aktualisiert.
  • Bitte versuchen Sie es und lassen Sie uns wissen, wie es läuft.     Background of the issue:

    Symptoms:
    Nach dem Ändern des englischen Satzes im Popup wird der deutsche Satz nicht automatisch übersetzt. Stattdessen sehe ich den vorherigen deutschen Satz. Außerdem werde ich beim Versuch, die deutsche Übersetzung zu überprüfen, zum Beitragsbildschirm weitergeleitet.

    Questions:
    Warum wird der deutsche Satz im Popup nicht automatisch übersetzt?

    I understand the issue you’re experiencing. Please note that content in translations will update automatically only if the translation mode is set to "Translate Everything Automatically" in WPML > Settings. Could you please check if this mode is enabled?

    If it is already enabled and the issue persists, Please go to "WPML > Settngs > Post Type Translation" and make sure that the "Translate automatically" button is enabled for the elementor_library, as shown in hidden link">this screenshot.

    If the issue persists even after that, try switching the Translation Mode to "Translate what you choose", then re-enable "Translate everything automatically" to retrigger the automatic translation process. Additionally, you can follow these steps to see if they resolve the automatic translation issue and the redirection to the Post Edit screen when attempting to open German posts.

    - Please go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting
    - Click on the following buttons:

    -- Clear the cache in WPML
    -- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
    -- Synchronize local job ids with ATE jobs
    -- Synchronize translators and translation managers with ATE
    -- Assign translation status to duplicated content
    -- Set language information
    -- Fix post type assignment for translations

    - Once done, clear the caches from your site and browser.
    - Make a small change to the default popup template and save it. Then, check if the automatic translation is correctly updating the content.

    Hello Prosenjit,

    thank you for your help so far. English is fine with me. I actually created the ticket in english but it got translated somehow.

    I had to activate elementor_library as a post type. That fixed it. Good catch!

    But now i found another issue. The automatic translation does only happen after i visited the dashboard. When i edit something and then take a look at the translation page, nothing happens. Only when i visit the dashboard the automatic translation happens. I tested it even with waiting 15 minutes. So it is not a delay or something. It actually doesn't happen without the dashboard visit.

    Regarding your concern about automatic translation triggering only after visiting the dashboard, please note that this is not an issue or a delay, but rather a dependency on accessing the dashboard for the translation process to initiate.

    This behavior indicates that the automatic translation relies on a hook or action that gets triggered only when the dashboard is accessed. Since you accessed the page directly through the Elementor editor, the necessary trigger was bypassed, preventing the automatic translation from starting. Once you visit the dashboard, the system recognizes the update and initiates the translation process.

    To ensure the automatic translation works as expected, it’s recommended to exit to the Dashboard or WordPress editor after making changes. This step allows the system to recognize updates and start the translation process. Accessing the dashboard or WordPress editor ensures the translation workflow is properly triggered.     I understand that currently the automatic translation is triggered with a hook in the dashboard. But what speaks against triggering it on a post update?

    Considering that each page builder has a unique update process, ensuring compatibility would involve significant adjustments to our plugin, which can be quite resource-intensive. Therefore, if you’re using a page builder to update content, you’ll need to visit the Dashboard to trigger the automatic translation. This ensures that the process functions as expected.

    Hi Prosenjit,

    thank you for the update. I understand, what you are saying, but shouldn't the wordpress "post_updated" hook fire for each page builder? Then you could just add the auto translation there.

    Many page builders, such as Elementor, Divi, or WPBakery, use their own custom save methods or APIs. This means that while `post_updated` is triggered, it might not capture content changes made through the page builder because:

    1. Custom Save Processes: Some page builders bypass the default WordPress editor and saving hooks, handling updates via their own AJAX calls or save logic.
    2. Stored Content: Page builder content is often saved in serialized data, custom fields, or specific database structures, which the `post_updated` hook doesn’t directly handle.
    3. Builder-Specific Hooks: Most major page builders offer their own hooks or events for content saving. For example:
    - Elementor: `elementor/editor/after_save`
    - Divi: `et_builder_post_save`

    Ensuring full compatibility with the update processes of all page builders would require significant adjustments to the WPML plugin.

    Therefore, to ensure automatic translation works reliably when using a page builder, you should visit the Dashboard to trigger the update after updating content through the page builder. This step ensures the automatic translation process works as expected.
