Background of the issue:
I am trying to save the home page in Swedish as an Elementor canvas layout, but WPML is setting the page layout to default. Other languages have the page layout set to default, but I need only the Swedish version to show as an Elementor canvas. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
I expected to see no header and footer, but instead, I see the header and footer. I had to change the meta_key _wp_page_template to value elementor_canvas and add CSS to hide the header and footer.

Questions:
How can I set the Swedish home page to use the Elementor canvas layout while keeping other languages as default?
Why is WPML changing the page layout to default for the Swedish version?
