This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are working on a site with the DIVI theme and have encountered issues translating images from German to English using WPML, specifically a logo image in the header. Despite following the documentation at https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/, the logo remains in German, and some images do not appear translated on different pages.
Solution:
First, edit the default language version of the image, make a minor change, and update it. This step is necessary because if the translated media was assigned after the translation was created, it won't reflect until it has been updated.
If this does not resolve the issue, navigate to WPML->String Translation and search for the media URL. If you find it, translate it by adding the URL for the translation.
If these steps do not solve your problem, or if the solution seems outdated or not applicable to your case, we recommend opening a new support ticket. Additionally, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am working on a site under development with DIVI theme and need to translate some images from German to English using WPML. This includes a logo image in the header (Theme Builder template and image module, not standard DIVI menu logo).
I have followed the documentation at https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/.

Symptoms:
The logo image in the header remains in the German version despite assigning the English image in media translation. Some images are translated on certain pages, but the translated image does not appear when used on different pages.

Questions:
Why does the logo image in the header not change to the English version after translation?
Why do translated images not appear on different pages even though they are translated on some pages?

Hi there,

Please edit the default language version, make a small change and update.

- Does that help? If the translated media was assigned after the translation was created it wont reflect until it has been updated.

If that did not help, go to WPML->String Transaltion-> search for the media URL, are you able to locate it? If yes translate it adding the URL for the translation.

Let me know your results, please.

Hi Bobby!
You have given me the crucial hint: when I had a look at the URL I found that a URL Param was added to it ... so it's not "image.webp" but instead like "image.webp?_t1728423597"
I then took a closer look at all the plugins and found out that it was related to a certain option of the plugin "Divi Assistant". I switched off the relevant option ... and the translation started to work.
Thanks for your support!
