Background of the issue:
I was attempting to automatically translate the entire website using the WPML plugin, but encountered issues with parts of the website breaking due to the translation process. Specifically, the plugin attempted to translate some code elements, causing functionality problems.

Symptoms:
The translation process malformed HTML code, particularly affecting a button element in a slider, causing the left arrow to display as text instead of a visual icon. The original HTML code for the button was altered incorrectly in the translation.

Questions:
Where can I find the translated version of the Toolset code that is causing the issue?
Is there any specific documentation on handling code translations with WPML to avoid such issues?

Hi Cenk,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I’m happy to help you with this issue.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated. Your next reply is set to private to share the info.

❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌
You can use this plugin to create the backup: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme to change configurations on the site if needed. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks

Hi,

I try some troubleshooting steps and don't see it help. Somehow the character "<" is not translated correctly and displays the text "<encoded_tag_open />" that causes the issue. Please check the attached screenshot.

I also see you've reported the same issue in the Toolset support forum https://toolset.com/forums/topic/help-with-wpml-compatibility/

It has been escalated to our 2nd tier support and we are investigating the issue. I will update you here when I have more information.

Thanks for your patience.
