This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with WPML Export and Import where the languages transfer successfully but do not automatically connect to the pages during the export/import process using WP All Export/Import.
Solution:
If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend the following steps to ensure that languages connect to the pages automatically:
1. Verify Required Plugins: Ensure that you have WP All Export (or WP All Export Pro), WPML core plugin, WPML String Translation, and WPML Export and Import installed and activated on both your export and import sites.
2. Export Your Content: Use WP All Export to export your multilingual content. Ensure WPML Export and Import is active during this process to automatically add the necessary language information to the export file.
3. Import Your Content: Use WP All Import on your new site to import your content. During Step 3 of the WP All Import wizard, ensure that the language information (meta data like
_wpml_import_translation_group
,
_wpml_import_language_code
, and
_wpml_import_source_language_code
) is correctly mapped in the Custom Fields section.
