This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are testing whether the REST API is enabled or disabled and despite receiving a positive JSON response from https://angeldiver.pro/wp-json/, WPML still indicates that the REST API is disabled.
Solution:
We have identified that WPML can sometimes incorrectly report that the REST API is disabled, which is a known issue of false negatives. The crucial aspect to check is whether the API endpoints are accessible. Since you confirmed that the endpoints you tested are accessible, this indicates that the API is functioning correctly. You can safely disregard the WPML message stating that it's disabled.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Should the problem persist, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to test whether the REST API is enabled or disabled, as WPML claims it is disabled. I use this address to check the JSON response and I get a positive one: hidden link. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link.

Symptoms:
WPML still shows that REST API is disabled, even though I get a clear response.

Questions:
Why does WPML report the REST API as disabled when I receive a JSON response?
Am I testing the REST API the wrong way?

I need to swtich the site into Maintenance mode for 24 hours, so this is an image of the response when the site operates normally.

Hey there,

Thank you for sharing the details. Your concern is actually valid. WPML sometimes gives false negatives regarding the API connection status. The best way to confirm, is if the endpoints are accessible, that's what counts.

Since the endpoints you tested are accessible, it means the API is working as intended 🙂 You can ignore the false negative, stating that it's disabled.
