404 on translated product category

jonathanF-3	Background of the issue: We have a problem with translated WooCommerce product category links. The links work fine on the English side (original), but return a 404 on the French side. The issue is easily resolved by resaving the permalinks, but it keeps coming back after 1 week or 2. You can see the problem on the home page, in the shop category filter, and footer menu. Here's a video showing the problem: hidden link. All cache are deactivated, so it's not coming from there. The issue reoccurs every 1-2 weeks and is temporarily resolved by resaving the permalinks. Questions: Why do translated WooCommerce product category links return a 404 error on the French side? Why does the issue reoccur every 1-2 weeks even after resaving the permalinks? Is there a permanent solution to prevent the 404 error from reoccurring?
