Background of the issue:
I'm trying to translate my Jun 2025 training course into English, but a wheel was deplayed instead of original marker. Some part of the original blocks was missing. So i edit the english blocks, and saved. Still these blocks was missing. So I deleted the text blocks from english, saved and add the blocks again. Clear caches, etc.. Clicking on the wheel, the blocks still not there.
I deleted (for ever) the French translation and cleared caches.
I open the english event again and click on transalte in french. Again a wheel is displayed instead of the marker, but now, clicking it opens a strange page (queue - see video) instead of a translation block, as usual. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link PLEASE SEE VIDEO: hidden link

Symptoms:
A wheel is displayed instead of the marker, and clicking it opens a strange page instead of a translation block. I expected to see a page with blocks to be translated manually, but instead, I got a page with Import / Export XLIFF. URL: hidden link

Questions:
How can I solve this problem? How to translate normally again. How to delete this wheel page and recreate it. Why does this issue occurs? thanks

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

I would like to reproduce the issue and run some tests to isolate its cause. Could you create a staging site with a copy of the live site (you may use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/) where we can run tests without affecting the production site?

I have set your next message private so you can securely share the access credentials to the staging site.

Looking forward to your message.
Regards,
Carlos

Did you log on the site. It seems that the original ENglish event on June 6-16 has disappeared from the schedule page. It doesn;t show !?! IT was in draft, i place it publish again

The translation blocks are back now. I can again do the translation. The question is why this page stopped to show and instead showed this Queue page, and why it came back, maybe placing it in draft for some time, but that seems not very logic...
I will stop the WP-Staging, as it is taking very long time to create it. looks like 4 hours more...
I can do a staging directly on the Cloudways, it will take 20 min. regards,

Thank you for sharing the credentials.

I fixed a problem in the database related to the languages. Please follow these steps:
- Edit the homepage in the original language
- Make a small change in the content
- Save the changes and update the translation

Does the issue disappear?

Thanks so much, indeed the wheel is gone now. What should I do in Database if
it happens again?

Good morning 🙂

The error won't happen again, this issue was most likely caused during the WPML installation so it won't repeat. If in the future you need more help with WPML don't hesitate to contact us again.
