I am trying to translate my ACF link fields, with the Advanced translation manager. I have the fields set to copy-once or translate, however, the fields do not show up when translating a page. They do show up when searching for 'http' in the top left search field in the Advanced translation manager.

Even if I translate the url's, they wont persist and seem to randomly reset back to their English values (link title and url).

I would like to just translate all link fields and have them stay translated, but somehow it is not working.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Hi there,

To do that, you need to set the translation option for that field type to Translate and not Copy Once.

Then do as follows:

- Go to your Dashboard > Pages.
- Open the edit screen of the original page. You should see a pencil/circle/gear icon in the sidebar options under the "Languages" section.
- Make a small change, for example, add an extra blank space at the end of a sentence/paragraph.
- Save it.
- You should now see that a circular arrow appears beside the 2nd languages links, this means that an update is required.
- Edit the translation again and save it up to 100% translated.

The searching for HTTP section stays the same but this time the translation should not be overwritten.

Thanks.

Hi Christopher,

I have seen you (or your colleague) give this answer to someone else before. I have tried this method, however, the fields only appear sometimes, not every time I do this. The fields are already on 'Translate', I just tried 'Copy once' to see if that would resolve this issue.

Also, this is not persistent, the fields will disappear after a short while, and reset/become empty. It seems like not all fields on the page will appear, sometimes just 1 of the 4 url-fields I am missing.

I hope this information will help us get

Hi there

Unfortunately that information does not help as I am not sure how things are set I suggest that you provide the login information by setting the next reply as private, and tell me exactly which page and field to check that has the issue.

That way, at least I can see the problem.

Along the way we might need you to give a copy of the website as testing on a live website is not advisable.

Thanks.
