This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is using Divi with WPML and is unable to translate buttons created using Divi Grid in the Translation Editor. These buttons are located in the banner area with labels such as LINE UP, DOWNLOADS, QUICK LINKS, and BACK TO ALL EVENTS.
Solution:
We have corrected the Custom XML configuration for the client. If you're experiencing a similar issue, we recommend you to check and adjust your Custom XML configuration. This can be done by navigating to the WPML > Translation Management page and clicking on the 'Custom XML Configuration' tab. Here's a step-by-step guide:
1. Go to WPML > Translation Management.
2. Click on the 'Custom XML Configuration' tab.
3. Adjust the XML configuration as needed.
After these adjustments, the buttons should be available for translation within the Translation Editor.

If this solution doesn't look relevant to your issue, please open a new support ticket with us.

Hi, I’m using Divi and am in the testing stages of WPML at the moment. I have tried translating the following page. Everything has worked fine apart from the buttons created using Divi Grid (examples are in the banner area called LINE UP, DOWNLOADS, QUICK LINKS and BACK TO ALL EVENTS). I could adjust the ones on the side by going in to the page and doing them manually. Can you advise if there’s a way of these showing in the Translation Editor please so it’s all done in one place please?

Hello,

We appreciate you reaching out to WPML support.

In order to continue using the "Advanced Translation Editor" for translating your content, please refrain from directly editing the translated page.

If you want to include new content and utilize the "Advanced Translation Editor" to translate it, you should initially add the content to the primary language page. Subsequently, when you translate it, the new content will be automatically incorporated into your translated page. We hope this explanation clarifies the process for you.

Hi, thank you very much for your reply. Sorry, I think I may not have made myself clear in my first email. The module that I’m referring to that isn’t showing up on the translation page is an add on module for interactive buttons developed by Divi Grid. Is there a way to get these to show? I have tried the following tutorial although I’m not sure if this was the right thing to do anyway.

https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/page-builders/how-to-register-page-builder-modules-and-theme-options/

This is the code I tried but it didn’t work.

<wpml-config>
<shortcodes>
<shortcode>
<tag>digr_multiple_button_container</tag>
<attributes>
<attribute>digr_multiple_button_item</attribute>
<attribute>digr_btn_item_wrapper</attribute>
<attribute>digr_btn</attribute>
<attribute>digr_btn_text</attribute>
</attributes>
</shortcode>
</shortcodes>
</wpml-config>

Can you offer any further advice please.

Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards, Heather

Thanks for your reply.

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
