Tell us what you are trying to do?
We have a custom post type that is translatable. (People)
We are using Ajax Load More to show the People on this page
/en/the-company/employees/
Clicking the language switcher in the top right corner (Íslenska) will take the user to this page
/fyrirtaekid/starfsmenn/
When doing so the posts that are displayed are still linking to the English version (permalink) /en/employee/name-of-the-person/ and the title, job title, and more stay in the English version.
When refreshing the page, it shows the correct language.
We do have "Make themes work multilingual" checked and "Language filtering for AJAX operations" checked. We have also tried it unchecked without luck.
1) Please clear the cache memory and disable your caching plugin then check if the issue is resolved.
2) If the issue persists, go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting page, then click the following:
- Clear the Cache in WPML
- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
- Fix element_type collation
- Fix WPML table collation
- Set language information
- Fix post type assignment for translations
❌ Please make sure that you have a full database and website backup before trying the above ❌
3) I also see multiple errors in the browser console, please check if the issue persists in a minimal environment by following these steps:
- Deactivate all the plugins that are not related to WPML.
- Switch for a moment to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty-one.
- If the issue is gone, activate one by one to see with which one there is an interaction issue.
❌ Please backup your database and website before performing the above test ❌
Let me know please how it goes.
Regards,
Mohamed
