Background of the issue:
I am trying to automatically translate a page using ATE with WPML. When I translate a page, I notice that if a word has HTML formatting like a strong tag or a link, the comma or dot after this word is separated by a space. You can see the issue on this page: hidden link

Symptoms:
There is a space between a word and the dot/comma/parentheses right next to it, which I have to manually correct all the time.

Questions:
Why does ATE introduce spaces between formatted words and punctuation?
How can I prevent spaces from being added between words and punctuation in automatic translations?

Hi,

I've escalated this issue to our second-tier supporters. It only occurs when using the Google Translate engine. Using one of the other engines, like Microsoft, DeepL, or PTC, does not present this problem.

We will keep you updated on any news regarding this problem.

Regards,
Itamar.
