Thanks so much for your help in setting this up. Happy New Year! I'll update here as soon as I have more information.

I just checked the test site and I can see that the version of your theme there is 16.0.5, but the latest version is 16.1.3 (hidden link). Please update the theme to the latest version on the test site I created so that we can continue troubleshooting on the staging site. Let me know once this is done and we will proceed with testing. Thanks!

Correct, sorry about that!

It was a product of my own laziness in grabbing the upload file from my computer instead of grabbing the newest one without thinking...

Again, that's my bad there.

We are now on 16.1.3 on the test site.

We had to request a copy of the updated core plugins as well from the author. Once we got those, we did some further testing and found the following shortcode in WPML -> Custom XML COnfiguration resolved the issue. Please add this to your WPML -> Settings -> Custom XML Configuration. Update one of your pages with links in the original language and then let's see if it is resolved with this:

<shortcode>
      <tag>nectar_icon</tag>
      <attributes>
        <attribute>title</attribute>
        <attribute type="link">url</attribute>
      </attributes>
    </shortcode>

Please let me know the results.

Thank you for the update! I am excited to give this a try and will get right to it.

For reference, I have attached what has been proposed from previous responses. I am going to replace the nectar icon section only. Attached is what was there previously.

Comparing the two, it looks like it is one part of the 5th line missing in the newer proposed item. I have also posted a screenshot of what I included to show that I have kept proposed ideas from past replies. Not sure whether I should keep those or not...

Will let you know!

I don't want to bombard or spam replies here but I am wondering if it possible to test using the version of WPML that was used a few months ago when we were developing the site and everything was working prior to the update. If this can be done without compromising saved translations or settings then I would be willing to try that and at least narrow down the issue to a specific update/integration.

I could do this on the cloned website you have for testing purposes, or the more recently created sandbox if that would help things out.

Still frustrating for us on our end to not have a solution but hoping we are close and willing to help a little bit to not have to start from scratch with another service.

Thank you,
Brad

I just tested on the staging site that I set up and it works as expected. You can see that I translated the page hidden link and the icon link automatically points to hidden link without me changing it or clicking the translate target links button.

Are you using the most recent theme and plugins on your live site? If you create a new page with a new icon, do you have the same results that the link is automatically translating? You are welcome to download a previous version of WPML if you want to test on your site, however, we have it working with the latest version of WPML and the latest version of Salient and latest theme plugins. So we will not troubleshoot the issue on an earlier version of WPML.

Thank you for the follow-up and continued effort!

I am going to take another look at the integration on tat test site and compare everything to our own setup.

I'll also double/triple check that I have the custom XML entered in correctly and get back to you.

Thanks again for your patience,
Brad

Sounds like a plan, make sure all theme plugins are up to date as well, and let us know what you find.
