This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client has pages that were automatically translated with WPML and has made some corrections. They are using Elementor to build their site. After translation, the buttons and hyperlinks were not linking to the translated pages correctly.
Solution:
We suggested that the issue might be related to the order in which the pages were translated. We recommended the following steps:
1. Clear the cache using WP Super Cache to see if it resolves the issue.
2. If clearing the cache does not work, navigate to WPML > Settings > Translate Link Targets and click on 'Scan now' to adjust the links.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, we advised the client to inform us for further assistance.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Tell us what you are trying to do?

Pages have been automaticaly translated with WPML and I did some corrections

Is there any documentation that you are following?
I tried to, but I didn't understand everything (I'm not native English)

What is the link to your site?

Can you, please help me to have buttons and hyperlinks, link to the translated pages?
Thank you
Kind regards

Hello,

Are your buttons linking to internal content or an external website?

If you are linking to internal content, can you please verify if this content is already translated?

If not, then please translate the content that you are linking to and test again.

In case yes, please provide me with more details about how these buttons were created.

- Are you using Elementor and a default Elementor Button Widgets?

Best regards
Andreas

Hello Andreas
The website is made with Elementor.
I made all the Dutch (original language) pages first. Then I installed WPML and choose the pages to be translated automaticaly. Everyting worked fine, except the buttons and the links (all linking to internal pages). I now added the link to one of the buttons again, and now it is OK. As there aren't to many buttons and links on this website, I can add all the links again manually. But I still have to translate other websites and it would be nice to have all the links to work automaticaly. That's why I chose to use WPML 😉
Kind regards
Lieve

Hello,

This might be related to the order in which the pages were translated automatically.

Did you already test if clearing the cache (WP Super Cache) solves the issue?

Otherwise, you can use the option WPML > Settings > Translate Link Targets > Scan now and adjust links.

If this will not solve the issue, please let us know.

Bets regards
Andreas
