Hi there!

What you can do is to delete all the header and create the default in english language and translate it to the other languages?

Or do you want to keep russian as default language for the header and footer template?

Hello, I have moved to bin all my headers and footers. Then I permanently deleted them and created from scratch the header and footer in the main language (ru).
I have sent the footer to translation. It was successfully translated and I could set it to be Global in both languages (which I was unable to do before). So, with footer I am finally good.

However, since the header was base64 encoded, I could not send it to translation. I have created a translation manually using WP editor.
First I created header, which was assigned the ID 10057. Then I edited it and created an English translation. It was translated successfully and it was assigned the ID 10061. I saved it and viewed Cloud Templates section in English language. But the header that appeared there had some other name. From the name it looks like it is one of previous templates which I have permanently removed. I checked the ID of the English header template. I expected it to be 10061. But it is 10055.

So, when I open the header template in main language (Russian), it shows me that the main language is connected with translation ID 10061. But when I browse Cloud Templates section, it shows me some old template with ID 10055.

As once recommended by one of your supporters, I visited Admin Text Translations and I tried to look for both Russian and English template IDs (10057, 10061 and 10055). But I could not find any strings.

Instead, I can see strings related to some very old headers (see screenshot). Could it be the reason?

By the way, when I enter the English header template (the one too old) from Cloud Templates, it shows me that it is a translation of some image file. So the links are definitely broken and I don't know how to repair them. I really wanted to use this site's content to create a new one and I do not want to start everything from almost scratch.

Hello Paola, I just saw your above reply.
Regretfully, what I am trying to do is to use Russian context as a donor for my site which will be in Turkish and English. So I cannot delete it completely.

Please go to WPML --> String translation and delete the string related to the header.

Then try to register the header and let me know if now appears the correct ID.

Hello Paola,

I do not see any strings related to header in WPML --> String translation.
I have many such strings in Admin Text Translations section. However, I cannot delete the strings there. I only have the button to remove them from string translations. But in fact they are not in string translation already. So I cannot neither delete the strings nor remove them from string translation.
Can you clarify what do you want me to do exactly?

Thanks.

Hello Paola,
It is the same story.
I have created Header Ru and published it.
From the editor I have switched to WP Editor as you taught me, created an English translation Header En and published it. When I am in the editor, I can see that Header En is marked as translation of Header Ru. But it is not seen on Cloud Templates when I switch to English (as well as from any other languages it is not seen too).
I still can access it using WP Editor, but then I cannot edit it using TagDiv Composer.

If you go here you see all the templates as you can see it is not set the template type to header, that is the reason why it doesn´t appear as a header from Cloud templates.

Is there any setting where we can set that template as header?

Maybe it is a compatibility issue that we should reproduce the issue.

Hello Paola,
No, there is no such option as far as I know.
So this means that when WPML creates a translated document, it does not assign document type to it? Or is this not WPML problem, but TagDiv/Newspaper issue?
What shall I do? Do you think I shall escalate it to TagDiv team? Because to me it looks like something to do with WPML, not with the theme.

Let´s see if we can reproduce the issue so we can escalate it to the compatibility team.

Could you please install the theme in the following site?

Please let me know when it is done.

Thanks,

I have installed and activated the theme.
I have installed and activated the TagDiv Composer and TagDiv Cloud Library plugins within the theme.
But I have to say that I am using WPML + Newspaper theme on another site. And it runs totally ok. The only significant difference between the sites is that on the other side I used automatic translation, but on this site I am using manual translation.

Try to create a header and translate it manually.
