This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was unable to translate the login form on their multilingual site. The forms were always displayed in English, and the client could not find the form elements in the WPML String Translation interface. They were specifically looking for the string 'identification' which appears on the login and registration page.
Solution:
We advised the client to scan the strings within the Avada Builder plugin by navigating to WPML > Theme and plugins localization > Scan strings in the plugin. After scanning, the client should return to String Translation and search for the strings to translate them. We provided a link to our documentation for further assistance: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/.
Additionally, we clarified that the client should search for the string in the default language, English, in the String Translation to translate it.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hi Patrick,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.

The form strings are located in the plugin Avada Builder (fusion-builder). You can go to WPML > Theme and plugins localization > Scan strings in the plugin.
Then go back to String Translation > Search for the strings and translate them.

Refer documentation https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

It looks that fusion form strings are translated, still it doesn't show in the translated language
(I followed your instructions);

For example, I was looking for the string 'identification' which appears on the page, and I could not find it.

Hi,

Do you mean the button string in the login form? I see you translated the string from English "Log in" to French "Identification", and Dutch "Inloggen". The translation is displayed as well in the frontend. Please check the screenshot attached.
You should search for the string in the default language English in String Translation to translate it.

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Hello,

I managed to translate the login form fields.
However, I cannot translate the registration form fields themselves.
The strings themselves are translated - but you don't see it in the form fields -

Hi,

I'm using the Inspect tool of the browse to check the register form and see that it is created by the plugin "User Registration for WooCommerce".
I suggest you follow the steps above https://wpml.org/forums/topic/cannot-translate-avadas-login-and-registration-forms/#post-15228575
Go to WPML > Theme and plugins localization > Scan strings in the plugin "User Registration for WooCommerce".
Then go back to String Translation > Search for strings and translate them.

Please follow the documentation to find strings https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Patrick

I followed these steps,
I could not find the custom fields I set for the registration form in string translation.
Is it possible that this plugin is not supported by WPML?

Hi,

The plugin "User Registration for WooCommerce" is not available in our list of compatible plugins (https://wpml.org/plugin/) so it could be a compatibility issue.

Let me check and confirm this, please share the temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site so I can take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated. Your next reply is set to private to share the info.

❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌
You can use this plugin to create the backup: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme to change configurations on the site if needed. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Hi,

I found a way to translate the registration form on your site, but it is complicated so I will split this ticket into a new one for better handling.
If you can translate the Avada login form, please consider marking this ticket as Resolved.

Thanks.
