This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client reported that after not using WPML for over a month, the translation environment had changed. Previously, the German original text was displayed on the left-hand side with the corresponding English text on the right-hand side, but this setup was no longer available. Additionally, a 'massaction' feature appeared, which was not familiar to the client.
Solution:
The issue was resolved by reinstalling a saved WP-installation from June. This version, being three weeks old, functioned correctly without any problems. It is unclear what caused the initial problems with WPML as the client had not logged into WordPress since the end of June.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
I have not translated for more than 1 month using WPML. The environment has changed, and I used to see the German original text on the left-hand side and the corresponding English text on the right-hand side. This is unavailable now.

Symptoms:
The translation environment has changed, and I can no longer see the German original text alongside the English translation. Additionally, there is a 'massaction' feature visible.

Questions:
Why has the translation environment changed?
What is the 'massaction' feature?
How can I revert to the previous environment setup?

I just want to let you know, that the problems was resolved by a reinstallation of saved WP-installation from June. This 3 weeks old version works again without any problems. I have no idea what has caused the problems with WPML since that because I was not logged in WP since the end of June.
Thanks,
Frank
