Background of the issue:
Recently my site went into production and because of that I changed domains. I am trying to unregister my old development license from the Installer page to enter a new production license. I followed instructions from a similar resolved ticket (https://wpml.org/forums/topic/cant-unregister-to-register-again/) but couldn't find the correct database entry to delete.
Symptoms:
The page reloads, and the 'Unregister' link remains unchanged. I expected to see the 'Register New License' link, but instead, I got the 'Unregister License' link.
Questions:
Can you explain in more detail which steps to follow once I access the database?
Go here (http://wpml.org/account/sites) > remove the old WPML key > generate a new WPML production key for the new domain > copy it > go to your migrated site's backend > Plugins > Add new > Commercial > click Unregister WPML and then click Register WPML and use the new key.
That is exactly what I have been trying, but after clicking the "Unregister" link the page simply reloads and nothing changes. I am not able to unregister my current dev license.
I'm more than happy to take a closer look at this.
I would like to kindly request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site in order to examine the issue thoroughly. The necessary fields can be found below the comment area. When you log in to leave your next reply, please be assured that the information you enter is private and will only be visible to you and me.
Our Debugging Procedures
I will thoroughly review various settings in the backend to determine if the issue can be resolved. While I will not make changes that affect the live site, it is still advisable to back up the site before granting us access. Should further debugging be necessary, I will create a duplicate and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid any impact on the live site.
- Before granting us access, please ensure that the site files and database are backed up.
If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields, please refrain from posting your website details, as they will be made public. Kindly request I enable the private box if you do not see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. You can find the private box by following this link: hidden link
Can you also let me know if I have your approval to take a copy of your site and set up a local testing environment to take a closer look at this issue?
I will await your response.
PS: Please note that I won't be working over the weekend, but I will be able to get back to you at the beginning of next week if any replies come over the weekend.
