Background of the issue:
I am using WPML for my WordPress site with DE and CH languages. My main language is DE. I am trying to ensure that the canonical URLs for my posts and pages are set correctly.

Symptoms:
Some of my pages are incorrectly using the DE canonical URL for the CH language version. For example, hidden link and hidden link are using DE canonical URLs instead of CH.

Questions:
How can I fix the canonical URL issue for the CH language version?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML support!

If I check view-source:hidden link, I see this:

<link rel="canonical" href="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>" />

That would be correct, or?

As for hidden link, if hidden link is a duplicate of hidden link, then it would be correct to use the DE canonical URL on the CH page.

Is that page a duplicate perhaps, created like this?
