I am trying to: Delete site languages and reset WPML, so we can start afresh
Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link
I expected to see: A message saying something like "Language deleted", and the deleted language should be gone from the list.
Instead, I got: Popup saying "Are you sure you want to delete your site's AR translations". If I say yes, the wheel spins for a while and the same popup comes up again. No matter how many times I try! Very frustrating 🙁
Hi, when the pop-up re-appeared, I closed it and refreshed the page. It looks like it deletes around 40 media each time and shows the popup again. I have 5k+ media per site and 12 languages, so this method will take forever! How can I do this faster? Thanks
I understand what you're looking for. The time it takes to complete the deletion process is influenced by the volume of content in the language. Therefore, a larger amount of content will result in a longer deletion process. Just to let you know, the popup will show up for each post type. This allows you to confirm and then delete the contents specific to that post type. I hope this is clear to you.
However, Upon reviewing the WPML Debug Info, I observed that the WP Memory Limit is currently set to 40M, which is below the recommended level. The WP Memory Limit is crucial for this process, so I suggest increasing it to at least 256M before attempting the process again.
Should the issue persist, another option is to bulk select and delete the files for each language directly from the Media Library. Afterward, you can use the WPML tool to delete the remaining contents.
Let me know the update. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.
Best regards,
Prosenjit
