Background of the issue:
I am using WPML and trying to enable the automatic translation option for a new client. I encountered an issue with mapping the default language, English, to a supported language. The error message says, 'Your default language, English, must be mapped to a supported language in order to use automatic translation.' I have never had issues with this before. When I click the button 'map the language', it doesn't provide a column to map the language. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link
Symptoms:
I couldn't enable automatic translation. The error message says, 'Your default language, English, must be mapped to a supported language in order to use automatic translation.' When I click the button 'map the language', it doesn't provide a column to map the language.
Questions:
How can I map the default language, English, to a supported language?
Why doesn't the 'map the language' button provide a column to map the language?
I'm still troubleshooting your issue 🙂 I've sent your website to be analyzed by our devs, we are checking what is causing the issue and will provide you with an answer in the next days.
In our checks, it seems that there's something blocking your website to communicate with WPML's external services, but we still couldn't pinpoint what exactly is the cause. We'll investigate further. Thank you for your patience.
We cannot perform domain-based whitelisting on the firewall. If you specify an IP address, support can be provided for adding a whitelist. Additionally, can you send an image showing that the connection cannot be established?"
It's my hosting provider firm's answer me about my request. Also others you told me, I did but nothing changed unfortunately:/
I've forwarded your request to our dev team. I'm checking if we can provide the IPs. As for the message they requested, you can check that by activating WPML, going to WPML > Support > Installer Support and clicking on "Check now".
I'll be back once I have feedback. Thank you for sharing the details and for your patience.
