This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are using WPML with Bricks Builder and are trying to have a different design on a translated page/template. When you attempt to change the design using the Bricks editor, the changes are not reflected on the translated page. Additionally, when you reload the Bricks editor on the translated page, the text and design revert to the original page instead of showing the translated version.

Solution:
To ensure that your translated page retains its unique design, follow these steps:
1. Go to WPML > Translation Management, check the box of the page you want to change the design for in the translated version, and at the bottom, select "Duplicate" then click Duplicate. This action duplicates the page in the other language, ensuring that the design is also duplicated.
2. Change the language in the top black bar to the other language in which you just duplicated the content. Then, go to "Pages", hover the mouse over the page you just duplicated, and select "edit with Bricks" if available, or the first "Edit" link to open the WordPress page editor.
3. If a pop-up asks if you are sure you want to open the page in that editor instead of the WPML Advanced Translation Editor, select "Yes, I agree to continue."

To synchronize Bricks design changes across translated pages using WPML, follow these additional steps:
1. Edit the original page in Bricks, make the necessary design changes, and save.
2. Close the Bricks builder, open the page in the standard WordPress editor, navigate to the "Languages" panel, and access the Advanced Translation Editor to update the translation.
3. Verify that the translated page displays the updated design without affecting the translated text.

It is crucial to use the same translation editor throughout the process to avoid synchronization issues. If you initially used the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) to translate, continue using ATE and avoid mixing it with direct edits in WordPress/Bricks.

Background of the issue:
I'm using WPML with Bricks Builder and trying to have a different design on a translated page/template. I attempted to change the design using the Bricks editor, but the changes are not reflected on the translated page. Here are the links to the pages and images showing the setup: hidden link, hidden link, hidden link.

Symptoms:
When I reload the Bricks editor on the translated page (hidden link), the text and design revert to the original page instead of showing the translated version.

Questions:
Why does the translated page revert to the original design when edited with Bricks?
How can I ensure the translated page retains its unique design?

Hi there.

My recommendation is to:

1. First, go to WPML > Translation Management > check the box of the page that you want to change the design for in the translated version > and at the bottom, select "Duplicate" then click Duplicate so that the page is duplicated in the other language (eg. If we have English as the default language, when we duplicate that page into Italian, for example, we will have the duplicate English content in the Italian language

2. After we duplicate the page, while we are still in the site's backend area, we change from the top black bar the language into the other one in which we just duplicated the content (Italian for example) > then we go to "Pages" and we hover the mouse over the page that we just duplicated > and select "edit with Bricks" if there's an option like this or, if there's no option, we just select the first "Edit" link that shows up which should send us to the WordPress page editor

If a pop-up asks if you are sure you want to open the page in that editor instead of the WPML Advanced Translation Editor, select "Yes, I agree to continue."

By duplicating the page from the beginning, we make sure that we duplicated the design, too.

Please let me know how things go.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei

To synchronize Bricks design changes across translated pages using WPML, edit the original page in Bricks, make the necessary design changes, save, and then update the translation using the Advanced Translation Editor within WPML.

This ensures that the translated pages reflect the new design without affecting the translated text.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

1. Edit the original page in Bricks:

- Open the page in the primary language within the Bricks builder.
- Make the desired design modifications, such as adjusting layouts or styles.
- Save the changes.

2. Update the translation:

- Close the Bricks builder and open the page in the standard WordPress editor.
- Navigate to the "Languages" panel, typically found in the right sidebar or document settings.
- Click the icon to access the Advanced Translation Editor.
- Translate any new or updated content within the editor.
- Click "Complete" to save the translation.

3. Verify the sync:

- The translated page should now display the updated design without affecting the translated text.

Some important things to mention:

1. If you want to have complete control over the translated version, the best option is to use the "Duplicate" option that I shared with you in the first reply

That allows you to manually translate your page and make any changes that you want.

Is the process from here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/

2. If you want to sync the design, it is important to stick with the same translation editor that you started using.

Suppose you did not duplicate this page initially, and you used ATE (Advanced Translation Editor) to translate it manually or automatically, in that case, it is recommended that you stick to the same editor (ATE) and NOT edit with WordPress/Bricks.

You either use only ATE or only Bricks. Mixing them up causes situations like this one, where there are issues with syncing.

I hope that it makes a bit more sense now, after this explanation, and I hope that you will find all this information helpful.

Please let me know if there are still questions.

Thank you!
I will try in a new page.
Suppose to start with ATE and discover later that we need to change the design. Is there a way to delete the ATE translation?
