can't update wpml and multilingual

bartH-17	Background of the issue: I am trying to update WPML and ensure that WPML String Translation is effective on my site hidden link. I am following the normal procedure for automatically updating. WPML Update is Incomplete Symptoms: WPML String Translation is enabled but not effective because WPML is outdated, even though I believe WPML is updated. Questions: Why is WPML String Translation not effective even though WPML is updated? How can I ensure WPML is properly updated?

bartH-17	I can't update the plugins, they are on automatically update status.

bartH-17	Manually updating all the WPML plugins fixed the payment problem of the shop.
