Sorry Long, what do you mean with "attach the images to the current post"? Should I add the image IN the post? How can you attach an image? The screenshot you sent me is not very clear... I cannot recognize it.

SO: after you attach the image this way (the same image you have in a gallery), you can translate it in the Advanced Editor. Myy question is: if you de-attach the image from the post, the translated description remains in the image that you have in the Gallery?

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

>> what do you mean with "attach the images to the current post"? Should I add the image IN the post?
You can add the image when editing the post, but in some cases, the image is not attached to the post. I'm not sure how could it be but I think it is an issue with the theme or plugin that has a feature that supports uploading images to the post and WordPress itself.

>> How can you attach an image?
You can go to admin area > Media > Switch to the List mode > Check the column "Uploaded to" > Click on "Attach" in the image row > Then select the post to attach.

>> if you de-attach the image from the post, the translated description remains in the image that you have in the Gallery?
Yes, because the image info is saved to the database on your site. Attach image is a way to include the image info in the post content to send to the translation editor. After the translation is completed and sent back to your site, the image info will be saved and detached image does not impact this data.
Just like when you do not attach the image to the post and translate it manually in the Media.

I hope that makes sense.

Long, the English version of this Portfolio page still has parts of the TEXT in Italian, despite being completely translated. I am quite disheartened...

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

I'm not able to see the English language on your live site, you might hide it from visitors. I think it could be a caching issue on your live site, as you can see, it works correctly on the staging site. Please try to clear all caches (plugin, browser, server ...) and check this issue again.

If it does not help, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. Your next reply is set to private to share the info.

❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌
You can use this plugin to create the backup:

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

After reviewing the post hidden link
I see that:
- The image captions are not available and translated in the Advanced Translation Editor
- The images are not attached to the post, for example: the first image hidden link

Please follow the steps below to translate the image caption and let me know how it goes.
- Go to Media > Search for those images > Click on the Attach link and attach the post to the image.
- Go to Portfolio > Edit the post "Colle di Lazoney- Sentiero 12C" > Make a small change to the post title/content > Save changes > Update the translation.

Additional question: Yes, you can try to do that. But please create a backup for your site and database before processing.
Note: we can handle one issue per ticket only so if you have another question, please create a new ticket for this. Thanks.

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Long, holy cow, IT WORKS. If I attach all images to the posts, then the Gallery images are actually visible in the Advanced Editor. I don't understand why some images are attached already and other aren't, but who cares: now I know that I need to attach ALL images to one post/portfolio.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH! We can close this issue, at last!
