This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with viewing category and product pages in the Norwegian language on their WooCommerce site after following previous advice. The images aren't synced across languages, which might be causing the problem.
Solution:
We recommend the following steps to resolve the image synchronization issue:
1. Navigate to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting.
2. In the Cleanup section, select "Products" from the dropdown and click the "Synchronize Post Taxonomies" button.
3. Go to WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Status tab, scroll down and click the "Troubleshooting" link.
4. Select the options as shown in this screenshot and click "Start".
5. After the process finishes, clear your site and browser caches, and check again.
If the issue persists, navigate to WPML > Settings, scroll down to the Media Translation section, select the options shown in this screenshot, and click on Start.
Clear the caches again and verify the results.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, or if the solution seems outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If further assistance is needed, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to view the category and product page of the Norwegian language. Here is the link to the page where the issue can be seen: hidden link. It happened after we followed your advice in the last thread: "Yes I believe so... here are the exact steps you can try: - Open a product in default language for editing. - Click 'WordPress Editor' from Language section in the sidebar. - Select 'All Products' if you want it for all future ones. - And save the selection and the product."

Symptoms:
Product images for some, but not all products are showing. This issue seems to only apply to Norwegian, autotranslated products.

Questions:
Why are some product images not showing on the Norwegian category and product pages?
How can I ensure that all product images are displayed correctly for Norwegian, autotranslated products?

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I'm not sure which Support ticket you're referring to. Could you please share that ticket in your next response so I can better understand why that suggestion was made?

It appears that the product/category images aren't synced across languages, which is likely why they're not showing in the Norwegian product. Please try the following steps to see if they help resolve the issue:

1. Go to "WPML > Support > Troubleshooting."
2. Under the Cleanup section, select "Products" from the dropdown and click the "Synchronize Post Taxonomies" button.
3. Once the process is complete, navigate to the "WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Status" tab.
4. Scroll down and click the "Troubleshooting" link.
5. Select the optionns marked in this screenshot(hidden link), and then click "Start."
6. After the process finishes, clear your site and browser caches, and check again.

This should help resolve the issue with the images and thumbnails.

Please give the steps a try and let me know how it goes. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hello Prosenjit
Thank you for your suggestion - unfortunately the problem remains after going through it all.

The last issue I referred to was this

On the WC -> Status -> troubleshooting page I can see three other issues:

Sync product stock quantity and status ( synchronizing min stock between translations ) 3337 left
Fix translated variations relationships 6169 left
Sync removed product meta from original products to translations 3337 left

Dunno if fixing those could help...?

Hello There,
Thank you for the update.

The number displayed next to each option on the Troubleshooting page represents the total count of variations, attributes, or products available, not the number that needs to be synced. If your product is translated and the data is synced correctly on your site, there’s no need to be worry about this number.

Regarding the image issue, since it persists even after synchronizing the products and their images, please try the following steps to see if they help:

- Go to "WPML > Settings" and scroll down to the Media Translation section.
- Select the options shown in this hidden link">screenshot and click on Start.
- Clear the caches from your site and browser and check again.

Please let me know how it goes. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Thank you for the advice, should we run all 7 or just the two highlighted options?

Also have to be sure this doesn't mean we are duplicating images for each language so that we will end up with 5 times as many images?

Hi Jens,

You can select the mentioned two options and click on "Start." This process will duplicate the image across the languages.

Let me clarify what duplication means in this context—WPML doesn't create exact duplicates of the images. Instead, it assigns a new ID to the same image while adding language-specific information. This approach ensures that WPML doesn’t overload the server with multiple copies of the same image; it uses the original image and associates it with different languages through unique identifiers.

I hope you can understand. Feel free to let me know if you have any other queries or need clarification. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
